Child labour (DRAFT)

Physical

Working in an unclean enviroment while your whole body is sore for half an hour a little while or a day is hard enough, but working in it for maybe the rest of your life is even tougher. Children in child labour work in many areas such as farms, mines, factories and large construction sites. These Some of these places are very harmful and dangerous to people's health like the such as construction sites they the children have to work in.where children in child labour have to work.  Child labour is in many places around the world like  such as India. In many places where children in child labour work, there are not many trees around the area to give them fresh air  in some places where children in child labour work are working in child labour such as like factories.  and plus they work in many unclean enviroments too. As well, there are many bad fumes in the construction sites where children the ages 5-15 work and these fumes are really which are not good bad for people's health. Lastly, In coal mines, the children have to crawl through small and narrow tunnels and it is very dark causing it to be dangerous for children in child labour since they work with dangerous tools in there and so they can get hurt easily. Even now, many places in around the world such as Asia and Africa still use child labour. Child labour mostly happens in developing countries places like India, Africa and China and also in many other huge places in around the world like such as Africa.

Economics

Have you ever got allowence or just got whatever you want whenever you want? Well, when a child is in child labour, they get very little money or no money at all. As well, they don't get anything to play with but they just work for almost the whole day. For example, the most fortunate child will gets  about 3 cents for every each every kilogram of cotton they he/she picks but a kilogram of cotton is worth $1.15 in the world market. As well, some many popular stores are still using child labour and customers are buying those products without knowing that the products are made from child labour because they haven't been aware of this issue. For example, stores like  such as Nike, Gap, Old Navy, Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch and Banana Republic. Now, some many stores like American Apparel are starting to clean up their act and stop using child labour to make their items they sell in thier stores because they have been more aware of this global issue and know what is are happening to the children and what they are going through. As well, did you know that with $760, it will take over a 20 year age period to end child labour. Child labour is maybe mostly because their a child's family has a dept they need to pay off so they sell their children into child labour to pay off that dept with the money they got or their family is in poverty and needs money to get the basic needs in life. With getting an education, it will help stop child labour and break the cycle of poverty. This is because when getting an education, you can get a good job in the future when you grow older and that will lead to getting to get money and not be in poverty so you won't have to sell your child into child labour. (This is called breaking the cycle of poverty). The Alternative Income Program helps break the cycle of poverty by buying the basic needs in life for families in poverty with the money donated by people like us. You can help stop child labour by not buying items like clothes that are made from companies that use child labour because they will be forced to stop using child labour if they want to sell there their products or you can donate to the Alternative Income Program because it will use the money taht you donated to buy things to help break teh cycle of poverty and so families wouldn't have to sell their children into child labour.

Political

Most Many kids Many children in North America  like you and me would rather be sleeping in and playing some video games then going to school Well,  but, some children just like us around the world who are most children in child labour just dream of one day  is not able to getting an education but have to work in child labour unsafe enviroments to help support thier family families and these are children all around the world just like us that should be given equal opportunities. Children in North America think that going to education is given but it isn't, it's a privallage. Many children in Africa and other parts of the world don't have the oppertunity to go to school and get an education but have to be in child labour and They also have to work with many dangerous tools such as chemicals, knives and guns. They are even given things that are dangerous to their anyone's health to eat or drink so they can work better or faster to get the work done  the job that they were given done. For example, children that are child soilders are injected with a drug called Brown Brown which is made from heroin and gun powder and what this drug makes you do is get more violent so they you willl fight better when they you are in war or in training. Many of these children They are in the worst conditions and some of the children are even scarred for life.  There are about 218 million children around the world in child labour and they these children are only the ages of 5 - 15. They are getting beaten up and this is very harmful to any child's physical and mental growth but this could also sometimes helps the children learn a sense of a responsibility. They don't get the proper health care we get here in North America and many people take it for granted but you got to think that other people wish they had can have the health care we have and so that we are very VERY lucky. They work for many hours a day and some of these working conditions are even illegal. Some children are child soilders and they leave the armies physically and emotionally wounded. Now, many children are taking every opportunity they can get because they know that it would be a waste of an opportunity since many other children want it but can't get it.

Social

When trying to be quiet for one whole day, is it that   do you think that's hard? Well, some children have to do it for their whole life. When children are in child labour, they do not have the right to speak. When in child labour They do not have the chance to break the cycle of poverty because they do not have the privilege to go to school like some of us take getting an education for granted in North America. Customers around the world are still buying items that are made from children in child labour but now some people in the world have been more aware of this issue therefore they have been reading the labels of the things they buy (clothes) and are trying to help stop child labour. With this little act of kindness, this will help all the children all around the world that work in child labour 18 hours a day. The Alternative Income Program helps stop many different but important issues around the world like child labour. This program helps support families in poverty that are unable to support themselves and their family. This will help them the families break out of the cycle of poverty because the Alternative Income Program will give them things they need to survive so they can save up thier money to make a living for themselves and stand on their own feet. As well, their children will be able to get an education because since their family has an average amount of money, they don't have to be sold in child labour but instead, go get a good education so in the future, he/she can get a good job. This Program is also very helpful because it doesn't always help families that are on the other side of the planet from us but also families living in poverty right in our community

Interesting Facts

This paragraph is just to tell some facts we might have missed not mentioned in the social, economical, political, and physical paragraphs. Something you might not have known is Did you know that child labour has decreased from 25% to 10% and it is very common in developing countries such as India and China.  There are also children that are child soldiers are and they are injected with a drug called brown brown. This is created of  with heroin and gun powder and what it does is that it makes you violent. Around 36 countires use children in wars which means they are child soilders but sometimes a child can learn a sense of responsibilty. When Craig Keilburger was young, he went to the newspaper to go and read the comic section but saw that it said that a boy named Iqbal Maishi was murdered. This inspired him the person who inspired Craig and Marc Keilburger to make a difference in the world and that Craig learned so much about helping children because he found out that Iqbbal had to work in a carpet factory and he didn't have a lot of food or water to drink and eat while working. As well,  continents like Asia and Africa still use child labour and many people still don't know about this issue and are still buying items that are made from children in child labour so in McMurrich, we make iniatives to help raise awareness about child labour. Now, many parents know about this global issue and hopefully are helping spread the word about it and stop buying things that are made from children are in child labour.
