Global Warming Canada Final

For this social studies project our group has been studying global warming and how it effects Canada now and in the future in relation to PEPSWe hope our article will help people realize how they have effected the environment and give them ideas on how they can change their actions and become aware of this current crisis.

       Physical

Global warming effects forms of land and natural resources  across our country Canada. Since fossil fuels burn carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and it depletes the ozone layer causing global warming.  The Arctic Ice caps melt, turning into water; therefore water levels will  increasewhich may cause flooding.

When this happens Canada's land mass gets smaller. Soon the water is so high it can sink an island. Predictions are that in a few years coastal cities  including Vancouver, Victoria, Halifax, st. johns and Charlotte town could end up flooded. Also there are predictions of more wild weather like Hurricanes, typhoons, tornado's, flooding and other natural disasters will occur in Canada.

Climates get ruined too.  When climates dry up resources plants like grass and trees will die.  Soon the land isn't good enough to live in/on anymore. That also ruinsthe  life for animals and people aswell as plants . After that, the ozone layer will finish depleting and everything will burn and not exist.

Economic

If Canada starts to have dry and wet climates with bad weather ( like said in the physical paragraph ) natural resources, that are made into products then sold in stores, will disappear because with bad climates they won't be able to make the products. If they disappear, economy will disappear along with most resources. Then there will be a lot of hungry people. Also, if it warms up and gets wetter there will be no more winter sports (ex: skiing snowboarding...etc.) makes a lot of money for winter resorts and winter Olympics. If that disappears economy will be just about finished and everybody will have to find their own food water and shelter.

        Political

Canada's federal government, Canada's natural resources industrie and the mining industrie are having a bit of a problem sorting this out. The federal goverment doesn't have time to run the Country and settle a fight between shutting down oil and ignoring it. In the future they will be forced to shut down oil entirely but it is a main necessity to transportation. For example if global warming impacts on climate and land and coastal cities get flooded the federal government will be in charge of getting everyone to safety and into shelter on main land, so there will be more people and less room. Another example is if it's really hot, government officials won't want to walk to work in their big, black suits so they might stay home and Canada's laws will slip a little. This will cost the federal government millions of dollars.

 Social

When it gets too hot people don't go outside to much. In a couple years Canada will be so hot every day people won't go outside at all. Since most parties, celebrations and other meetings take place outside, there will be a lot less socialism in Canada. People will get lazy and the only way they will communicate is on the phone which also uses chemical energy and isn't as valuable. Soon Canada'sculture won't be as it is now and traditions will disappear. And like we said in most of the paragraphs with climate change there is nowhere to party and no party snacks so nobody will come. Then life will  be boring and friendless.
