WATER SANITIZATION

This paragraph focuses on the global issue (water sanitization). As a group we made this paragraphinto the Design of the analysis (graphic organizer) of physical, economical, political and social otherwise known as P.E.P.S.

Physical

This paragraph represents the physical effects of water sanitization. People are getting sick  because as a result of how the land is formed (Dirt and soil). There are diseases in the water and water is a natural resource; therefore they have no choice but to drink it. In the content Africa most of the countries in Africa land is dry so they have less clean water access.  Dry land give dry water because the sun evaporates the moisture. Girls/Women have to walk long distances such as 7 km to get 20 kg of water. One of the things that majorly pollutes water is a technique used in the U.S. called Fracking. Fracking works by using water to pump oil out of the earth and as a result the water becomes polluted.

 Economic

In certain countries in Africa poverty is a concern, girls have to go get fresh water instead of going to school there for when these children become adults they cannot support their own family because they do not have an education. If we don’t stop that girls in the next generation will not have an education. Girls wont earn money later on because they don’t have a good education this is a result of not having clean water near schools.

Political

An estimated 1.1 billion people have no choice but to drink dirty water every day, in result unfortunately 9.2 million  children under the age of 5 die everyday in an addition to that every 15 seconds a child dies of Cholera (Diarrhea) because of dirty water. Almost every 15 seconds a child dies of cholera.  General governments and free the children have been donating medical care to countries and continents like Africa in the in the Sahara desert and to Asia and Latin America.  They are supposed to be going to school as the Millennium Development Goals wants us to do by 2015 they also wants everyone who is hungry and in poverty to  be out of it. In additionthe UNICEF organization has designed wash programs to contribute to themillennium development goal water sanitization and by 2015 to “halve” a portion of people without clean water will would have had a basic sanitation of water.

Social

That why adults are dying because of dirty unfiltered water. leaves them less time to socialize. To just be a kid and not having to worry about dying. Or supporting their family when their in a situation like right now with their family being grandparents and parents.  If that child cannot support there family it will most like creates a cycle of children supporting their family instead of going to school.

Children in this generation have to collect water therefore they cannot go to school. Which means as they grow up they have no schema on how to support their family.  Therefore it is creating a life cycle and when those kids grow up to be adults they will repeat the same thing with there family with girls ut education.  The families that have children have a cycle of children supporting their families.
